The one thing every company wants to see on their quarterly outcome is gain. An increase in sales and revenue is the icing on the cake for every company, and there was one company that achieved more than they expected when the final tallies for their third quarter earnings came in, Basler AG.
According to preliminary figures, sales and pre-tax earnings were significantly higher than levels of previous years. These numbers were also beyond the expectations of the management board of Basler AG. Group sales for the first three quarters of 2010 for Basler AG were at somewhere around $51.5 million.
This exceeded the previous year's earnings of around $32.5 million by about 58%. Total earnings before taxes (EBT) for Basler AG came in at around $5 million which was nearly $16 million up from the previous year's results.
But what, you may ask, is driving the sales growth of Basler AG? Well, that is simple, the digital camera segment of the company. Camera sales increased for Basler AG in the first three quarters by 85% to $40.4 million. Incoming orders were around $45.6 million compared to $25.4 million last year.
Assuming continued market development, Basler AG will continue to increase their gains for the fiscal year 2010. Basler AG expects group sales to increase to a level somewhere between $62 million and $65 million at an EBT of no less than $5.5 million.
